If you are not quite daring enough to venture into the neck-breaking waters at Sandy Beach, drive a few miles around the corner and give Makapu'u Beach a try. Like Sandy's, Makapu'u is a bodysurfing and boogie boarding only spot, and is a desirable landing pad for parasailers as well.
